  1. LEGISLATION: The National Assembly approved the Law for the Protection of Assets, Rights and Interests of the Republic and its entities abroad.

  2. DECREES: The Executive Branch determined that the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) will become an entity attached to the Ministry of the People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.

  3. ECONOMIC SANCTIONS: OFAC updated its General License 39B (GL 39B) and FAQ 909 regarding transactions and activities related to the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of COVID-19 that are authorized in Venezuela.

  4. RULING: The Constitutional Chamber agrees to a precautionary measure of suspension of the effects of articles 175 (later article 177) of the Ordinances on Economic Activities of Industry, Commerce, Service and of Similar Nature, of the Municipality of La Cañada de Urdaneta of the State of Zulia sanctioned in 2017 and 2018.
